Boxing loses one of it's exemplary people.

The business of boxing, as well as the sport of boxing, lost one of it's most supportive, loyal
and dear family members last night with the passing of Everlast Worldwide, Inc. CEO and Chairman,
George Q. Horowitz.
Succumbing to kidney cancer after a courageously brave battle, Horowitz had fought the dreaded
disease as he lived his life - with dignity and respect. |

ready and formidable Travis Hartman (5-2-1, with 4 knockouts). Bobby Aucoin Sr.
will be right behind him.
Aucoin Sr., head trainer for his son, came into the sport of boxing the same way the
talented and highly regarded Aucoin Jr. had; he was born into it. |

This year, the Association of Boxing Commissions approved the inclusion of two new Tribal Commissions, San Juan Pueblo of New Mexico and the Pasqua Yaqui Tribe of Arizona. Fittingly, the time has come for the first Native American promoter to come on the scene. That historical slot has been filled by David Rivas of Rivas Warrior Boxing Promotions. David is a member of the Tunica-Biloxi Tribal Nation of Mississippi. |
