The undercard will feature Jeremy "The Crusader" Duplechain, Lawtell, LA (5-2 with 4 KO's) in a
re-match against a fighter who beat him, Steve Verdin, Cutoff, LA (a veteran of 35 pro fights).
Hispanic sensation, Daniel "No Time for Tomorrow" Garcia from Houston, Texas (6-3-1 with 4 KO"s)
will face a tough opponent from Mississippi. Garcia is Broussard's chief sparring partner.
Blake "The Candyman" Prevost of Lawtell, LA and former Marine Corps Boxing Champion (7-1-1 with 4 KO's)
will return after his controversial split decision loss his last fight at Blackham Coliseum in
a 6 round contest as a light-heavyweight. Prevost is looking to score a title fight before the
end of the year and needs an impressive performance on June 17th. In another highly
anticipated re-match Martin "Smiley" Verdin of Dulac, LA (11-6-1 with 6 KO's) will face the
more experienced Anthony "Untouchable" Stephens of Shreveport, LA ( 32-18-2 with 17 KO's).
Verdin and Stephens fought on an April 2006 ESPN fight card in New Orleans with Verdin
winning by split-decision. Stephens is a former world title contender who fought Felix
Trinidad for the world championship dropping Trinidad in the fight. Verdin is looking
to vindicate the close fight with a knockout in this 8 round light-heavyweight contest.- - - WHO: -
