THE CITY WAITS NO LONGER AS SKIP KEEPS IT ‘STRICTLY BUSINESS’
The poster says it all as Skip “Strictly Business” Scott did exactly that Thursday night, May 19th, as he dismantled the tough and durable veteran Dennis McKinney in the 4th round. He took care of business as usual. Throwing great body shots coupled with hooks to the head Scott dropped McKinney twice in round 4 ending matters in less than 2 minutes. Quite a feat considering Houston prospects Fred Allen and Steve Collins had to go the distance with McKinney to beat him.
America is looking for the next heavyweight prospect. Skip Scott fits that bill. A 6’8” 250 pound giant with speed, great reflexes, and power to burn, he is making his mark as a hugely popular boxer in the Houston market. Add to his physical abilities a big smile, great build and charismatic personality, he becomes the whole package. Even when he dresses outside the ring you would think he was the promoter and not the boxer as he strolls around in his Calvin Klein suits calling on clients as a mortgage broker with Wells Fargo.
Trainers Bobby Benton and Aaron Navarro have honed Scott’s skills to near perfection teaching him how to utilize his size to keep opponents at arm’s length until he smashes in the power shots, especially to the body, his favorite punches. A heavyweight that goes to the body, you say? That is why Scott is the whole package.
Keeppunching Entertainment’s CEO and Scott’s promoter, Kerry Daigle, has not seen a heavyweight with more potential in the United States. “I really believe when he is tested with a top ten heavyweight he will prevail and win convincingly,” states Daigle, while adding to his size is tremendous power and excitement as he throws punches in bunches.
The next test comes in late July as Scott travels to South Florida’s Hard Rock Casino for his first 8 round contest. Keep checking with www.keeppunching.com for more details on Skip Scott and Keeppunching Entertainment.
