" Good News About People, Places and Things in Evangeline, St. Landry, Lafayette and Vermillion Parishes"
Love of our heritage and of all things positive about the Acadiana area and its people are the foundation on which The Acadian is built. The Acadian, a monthly publication dedicated to featuring local people, music, history, and art, was founded in May, 2005 by the owners of Bonnes Nouvelles Publishing, LLC.

Bonnes Nouvelles Publishing, LLC. entered the publishing business in April, 2004, when Casey Fontenot, Dawna Waterbury, and Gwen Fontenot purchased an existing publication, Bonnes Nouvelles in St. Landry Parish. The premise behind that paper was to publish only good news about people, places, and things in St. Landry Parish.

The owners of Bonnes Nouvelles Publishing, LLC. soon realized that they wanted to spread such good news to additional parishes, and hence,
The Acadian was founded. Two versions of the paper are currently published and distributed, one in Lafayette Parish and one in St. Landry Parish, each featuring the people, music, history, and art of the respective parishes.

The owners of
Bonnes Nouvelles Publishing, LLC and publishers of The Acadian in Lafayette Parish and in St. Landry Parish and the Bonnes Nouvelles in St. Landry Parish, are:
