Tom Dodge
Born in Alabama and raised in Florida, Tom Dodge has called St. Landry Parish his home since 1990.
He started his journalism career at an Alabama weekly before serving as editor of two small Louisiana newspapers.
After a brief stint in radio, he returned to the newspaper business in 1996 as a sports writer in Opelousas.
He served as sports editor of the Daily World from 2000 to 2007, where he won six Louisiana Press Association awards for his writing.
He presently writes for two other online publications on topics that range from sports to religion.
An ordained Southern Baptist minister, Tom is also involved in a school for at risk and disadvantaged youth in St. Landry Parish.
